Its origin is not exactly clear, but the daiquiri became famous through Ernest Hemingway, who was served the cocktail in Cuba. The daiquiri belongs to the Sours family.
This recipe is not exactly classic, as it still uses some dark rum and a shot of falernum. The white rum, which is also the main ingredient of the cocktail, comes from Labat. ED’s rum is the in-house blend and is blended from 3 different rums by Pascal Kälin.
Sweet, sour and spicy in balanced proportions, just like a classic sour should be.
